BBUFA Membership

Bexhill & Battle Under Fives Association Limited (BBUFA) is a registered charity established in 1993 as an organisation to support local childcare providers. 

We have been consistently delivering support to both voluntary and private early years provisions since our inception in 1993 and our members currently include pre‑schools, playgroups and day nurseries from the Rother, Hastings and Eastbourne areas (although historically the majority of these are Rother based as this is where we were first based). 

We offer 3 levels of membership to enable groups to select the right package of support that meets their needs;  

Level 1 - Standard

£  70 per year

Phone and email support, including one contact visit, as required.

Level 2 - Enhanced

£140 per year

Phone and email support, including up to 3 contact visits, as required.

Level 3 - Intensive

£140 per year plus additional
£20 per hour

Phone and email support, including 3 contact visits after which time additional support will be charged at £20 per hour.

The standard, level 1 membership enables you to obtain phone and email support and guidance from an experienced and knowledgeable early years development worker plus one contact visit per year to enable you to discuss any concerns, challenges or advice you may need, or to come in to support and or discuss a specific issue.   

The development worker can offer you advice and support on a range on a whole range of subjects including;

Staffing issues (appraisals, capability, mentoring)
·         Recruitment and selection advice
·         Organisational support (legislation, policies and procedures)
·        
Trustee / committee issues (roles, responsibilities and mentoring) 
·        
Ofsted requirements  

Newsletters
Included in membership is our termly newsletters will keep you informed on relevant issues in the early years sector including local updates, partnership news, topical issues and any information regarding legislation changes.    

Resources
As a BBUFA member you can hire resources for your group, anything from a physical obstacle course, to a light box through to a role play areas (vets, post office etc), see the website for further information. 

Small grants fund
BBUFA members are able to apply to BBUFA for a small grant.  Grants are awarded up to a maximum of £200 and will help pay for a whole range of things!

Reduced price training, events and publications
As a BBUFA member you will receive a discount from any BBUFA training or events / workshops that you access.  You will also gain a discount when purchasing any publications such as registers or accident books.

Web Site
The BBUFA website has a Members only area for resources, such as the committee handbook, newsletters, useful templates etc.  This is kept updated to ensure that you have access to relevant and topical information.  

 

We recognise and understand that running an Early Years setting can be challenging, however, BBUFA has a long standing history of successfully supporting a wide range of organisations through a myriad of different situations and are well place to support your groups requirements.   Therefore, if you would like to become a member, please return the completed membership form enclosed with your cheque for your selected level, to enable your support to begin!
